Content Editor

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Editor to ensure our clients' blog content meets branding guidelines, SEO best practices, and maintains high standards of quality. Responsibilities include managing the editorial calendar, overseeing content production, updating the Branded Content Tracker, and uploading content to WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow. The Editor will also provide feedback to writers and communicate with clients weekly.


  • Edit blog content and metadata to ensure it meets the client’s branding guidelines, SEO best practices, proper spelling and grammar, and flow. 
  • Ensure all blog content is accurate, properly formatted, and sourced.
  • Collaborate with SEO strategists, the Editor in Chief, and Writers to align content with client goals and SEO best practices.
  • Manage the editorial calendar in Asana to ensure consistent content delivery across all clients.
  • Update the Branded Content Tracker with all the content we create on a monthly basis to help the SEO Strategists with reporting.
  • Oversee content production from outlining to publication, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Assign tasks to writers, designers, and other team members based on expertise and workload.
  • Provide support and feedback to Writers to help them improve their text and meet the client’s guidelines. 
  • Upload and edit content on sites built on WordPress following SEO best practices.
  • Upload and edit content on sites built on Shopify following SEO best practices.
  • Upload and edit content on sites built on Webflow following SEO best practices.
  • Communicate with clients on a weekly basis to report on the status of their deliverables and next steps. 
  • Software and tools needed to complete this job will be provided.

Skills & Requirements

Must Haves

  • 4+ years of experience in a content editing or SEO-focused role, preferably at an agency.
  • Excellent attention to detail for ensuring content accuracy, proper formatting, and sourcing.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing an editorial calendar in Asana.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with SEO strategists, the Editor in Chief, and writers.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to writers to help them improve their work and meet client guidelines.
  • Experience in overseeing content production and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal) with strong communication skills for weekly client interactions to report on deliverables and next steps.
  • Previous experience in ecommerce/SaaS industries is a plus.
